Open Lingerie Guide: Open Bras, Panties & Crotchless Styles
UpdatedOpen lingerie includes styles that use intentionally open, sheer or cutout construction rather than full-coverage cups and briefs. At MIAMUR, this category includes shelf and open-cup bras, open and crotchless panties, sheer bodysuits and coordinated lingerie sets.
If you already know which category you want, browse shelf bras and open-cup bras, open and crotchless panties, crotchless lingerie sets, or the complete open lingerie collection.
What is open lingerie?
Open lingerie is a broad term for designs that intentionally expose more of the body through open cups, open crotch construction, cutouts or transparent fabrics. The exact fit depends on the style: an open-cup bra is built differently from a crotchless panty, while a sheer bodysuit can combine transparency with more conventional coverage.
Shelf bras and open-cup bras
A shelf bra supports and frames the lower part of the bust while leaving more of the upper bust exposed. Open-cup and cupless designs can use a similar visual idea with different amounts of structure.

Open and crotchless panties
Open panties are lingerie bottoms designed with an intentional opening or open-back detail. Depending on the design, you may also see terms such as crotchless panties or ouvert panties. MIAMUR styles include sheer mesh, lace, adjustable straps and minimal bikini cuts.

Crotchless lingerie sets
If you prefer a coordinated look, a lingerie set combines the top and bottom in matching materials and colors. Our Crotchless Lingerie Sets collection includes open-panty sets paired with sheer tops, corset-inspired bras and other matching pieces.
Materials and fit
Open lingerie can be made from sheer stretch mesh, lace, satin or combinations of these fabrics. Adjustable straps and flexible mesh can make the fit easier to fine-tune, but sizing still matters. Always use the size information shown on the individual product page before ordering.
Choosing the right style
- Choose a shelf or open-cup bra if your priority is a more open bra silhouette.
- Choose open or crotchless panties if you want an open-bottom design.
- Choose an open lingerie set if you want coordinated top and bottom pieces.
- Choose sheer lingerie if transparency and lightweight fabric are the main features you want.
MIAMUR pieces are made to order in our workshop. Explore the Open Lingerie collection to compare styles, or browse all open lingerie in one place.
